Currently we have 2 clubs, Tanglin Community Club JJS Clubs and Bukit Batok Community Club JJS Club. In collaboration with the People’s Association we plan to expand our training to more community clubs and schools in Singapore. Working with the Life Skills & Lifestyle Division of PA, we have plans to develop workshops and seminars on Ju-Jitsu. We have targeted to set up 3 more clubs by Q2 2010.
New courses like Combat Ju-Jitsu for Women’s Self-Defense are being developed and Bukit Batok Community Club has already started Ju-Jitsu for Children class.
We will also be upgrading our Dan grades holders in technical proficiency and knowledge with new classes for Dan grades only. We will be sending instructors who are qualified to attend 1. JJIF / Ju-Jitsu International Referee course, 2. National Level Coaching Course.
We are planning to organize more regular Ju-Jitsu workshops, seminars with our regional & global counterparts as well as possible exchange programs other martial arts groups.
A training program was also started in preparation for our athletes who will be participating in competition. We plan to invite Assoc. Prof. Dr Lim Chin Leong, Head of Singapore’s military physiology lab, as our Sports Science and Nutrition Advisor.
